Inspired by the aerial views of glacial meltwater ponds, with it’s breathtaking blues, crystal clear waters and a tragic beauty. These pools of water do not reflect sunlight in the same way as smooth icy surfaces, and as a result, becomes a significant contributor to faster than expected melting of polar ice shelves. The more ice that melts, the more meltwater ponds that form - just one of many vicious cycles behind the mechanics of a warming planet.
