A limited number of commissions are done each year.

Size.

The first step is to determine the size of your desired painting. If there is a specific spot or wall space you had in mind, it is very helpful for me to see a photo! Try to capture the wall from end to end, or provide different angles. Your desired size is primarily what I use to provide a price estimate. Paintings are done on gallery canvas unless something different is requested. Be sure to also specify if you would like a custom frame to go with your painting.

Composition.

This is my favourite part of the commissions process. Tell me in the form below what particular paintings or styles of mine that you like, or didn’t like. Are there photos you’ve taken, places or landscapes that you’d like me to incorporate? Feel free to share thoughts, colour ideas, or even paint swatches. The more insight the better. Don’t worry about being too specific or too vague. Paintings will all reflect my own style and interpretation, but any insights you provide are always super useful and appreciated.

Pricing.

Once I have a sense of size and structure, I will provide you an estimate and a contract. Upon acceptance, I will draw up sketches for you to approve. A 50% deposit is then required before painting begins. The remainder, plus shipping costs, is due once your piece is completed. Commissioned pieces will be more expensive than a ready-made painting of the same size. This reflects the additional time spent customizing a piece to meet your needs.
