12” x 12” | Acrylic and Gold Leaf on Canvas

This is from a photo taken near a summit within the Aletsch Arena mountain range, home of the largest glacier in the Alps.

“As we emerged exhausted over a hilltop, what greeted us was a view so serene it felt like we were giants having stumbled upon a secret fairy meadow. Sunlight gleamed off golden ponds and wildflowers twirled in the breeze. One will look toward the endless view, with the Matterhorn itself standing just to the right of this photo, and can’t help but feel awe, peace and hope for all the possibilities to come.”

This painting comes ready to hang with a handcrafted wooden frame, made locally using poplar wood and given a clear varnish for a natural finish.
